Q: How much do Psychotherapy consultations cost?
A: Psychotherapy consultations are charged at R740.00 per 50-60 minute consultations with Karin Bronkhorst, Joanna Kleovoulou, Trix O' Callaghan, Wendy Hay, Charine Glen-Spyron, Kerry Skinner , Sonja Richards. Psychotherapy consultations with Ilze van der Merwe-Alberts are charged at R1100 for new clients, and individual psychotherapy, R1100 for play therapy and parental feedback consultations.

Q: How do I know which psychologist will be the best for me?
A: Each psychologist at Bella Vida Centre Group offers a professional and loving service to their clients. They have dedicated many years academically and through experience to be able to assist you and your family. Read through each of our psychologist's profiles, under 'About Us' tab to find the correct one to meet your specific needs. Alternatively, feel free to call us on 011 463 4438 (Bryanston) or 011 450 3576 (Bedfordview) as our receptionists at Bella Vida Centre Group are trained to refer callers to the most appropriate psychologist or neurotherapist.
Q: I am nervous about Psychotherapy, how do I know it is right for me?
A: Psychotherapy can initially be a frightening and uncomfortable experience, but it proves to be extremely beneficial to many people. It is unnerving to take the first step, but once you get through that, the rest becomes easier and easier.
Q: How many Psychotherapy consultations will I need?
A: This is a difficult question to answer because we are not able to say how many consultations are enough for you specifically. You can however speak to your psychologist/ neurotherapist about the duration of the therapy process.
Q: How does payment work? Is Psychotherapy and Play Therapy claimable from my medical aid?
A: We are a cash practice so you will need to settle payment after every consultation. However you can then submit your paid statement to your medical aid. Your medical aid should then pay you out a portion of the consultation fee. Psychotherapy, Play Therapy, Assessments and some of our workshops are claimable from medical aid. Neurotherapy and Trauma Counselling however not claimable.
Q: I live quite far away from Bella Vida Centre and I was wondering if there is an alternative to face to face consultations?
A: Yes, we have innovative alternatives to face to face consultations. Bella Vida Centre offers Telephonic consultations with either a psychologist. Consultations are charged at R740.00 with, Karin Bronkhorst, Joanna Kleovoulou, Kerry Skinner, Wendy Hay, Trix O' Callaghan, Charine Glen-Spyron , Sonja Richards. Ilze van der Merwe-Alberts charges R1100.
Q: How much do Neurotherapy consultations cost?
A: Neurotherapy intake consultations (for parent/s only) are charged at R630.00 for a 90 minute consultation. Neurotherapy consultations (for adults and children) are charged at R450.00 per 45 minute consultation.
Q: How do I book for a Neurotherapy consultation?
A: Call Bella Vida Centre on 011 463 4438 to set up an appointment with one of our Neurotherapists.
Q: What is the process of Play Therapy?
A: You will need to call Bella Vida Centre on 011 463 4438 to set up an Intake consultation (for parent/s only) with one of our Psychologists. Please remember to bring any reports that you may have. The intake consultation is 50-60 minutes and is charged at R740.00 with, Karin Bronkhorst, Joanna Kleovoulou, Kerry Skinner, Charine Glen-Spyron , Sonja Richards. Ilze van der Merwe-Alberts charges R1100.00 for Intake consultation.
After you have had your intake consultation, you should book between 10-20 Play Therapy consultations for your child with the psychologist. After 4 Play Therapy consultations you will need to also book for a parental feedback consultation. The parental feedback (for parent/s only) consultation is 50-60minutes and also charged at R740.00 with, Karin Bronkhorst, Joanna Kleovoulou, Kerry Skinner , Charine Glen-Spyron , Sonja Richards. Ilze van der Merwe-Alberts charges R1100.00 for parental feedback consulation.
Q: Why do I need to have the parental feedback consultation?
A: Parental feedback is administered by the psychologist to provide you with important information about your child, which they have assessed and collected in either the assessment or Play Therapy consultations. The psychologist will also then provide you will recommendations and guidelines to then follow in order to assist you child and family effectively.
Q: What is the process for Assessments?
A: You will need to call Bella Vida Centre on 011 463 4438 to set up an Intake consultation (for parent/s only) with one of our Psychologists. Please remember to bring any reports that you may have. The intake consultation is 50-60 minutes and is charged at R740.00 with, Karin Bronkhorst, Joanna Kleovoulou, Kerry Skinner , Charine Glen-Spyron , Sonja Richards.
After the Intake consultation you then need to set up an appointment for your child's assessment. The cost of the assessment is R2960.00. The duration of the assessment may vary with the age of the child as well as their concentration levels. Please enquire how many hours your child may need. Once your child has completed the assessment, a report will be compiled within 1-2 weeks afterwards, and will be presented to you in your parental feedback consultation charged at R740.00. The total costing of the assessment is therefore, R4440.
Q: Can my 2 year old come in for an assessment?
A: In this case we would suggest that you book Play Therapy for your 2 year old, as the assessment is usually done with children from about 5 years old and older. The Play Therapy consultation will give the psychologist a better idea of what is exactly is happening with your child and therfore they assess and evaluate your child's behaviour.
Q: My teenager is struggling to decide on a career path that is right for him, what do you suggest?
A: Bella Vida Centre can definitely assist we have an excellent array of psychologists that will administer a Career Guidance Assessment on your adolescent. You will need to call Bella Vida Centre on 011 463 4438 to set up an Intake consultation (for parent/s only) with one of our Psychologists. Please remember to bring any reports that you may have to help give the psychologist a better sense of the adolescent and history. The intake consultation is 50-60 minutes and is charged at R740.00 with, Karin Bronkhorst, Joanna Kleovoulou, Kerry Skinner , Sonja Richards. Ilze van der Merwe-Alberts charges R1100 for the parental consultation.
After the Intake consultation you then need to set up an appointment for your adolescent for the Career Guidance Assessment;
Career Guidance can be done in two different methods;
1. The traditional method where you come for a battery of tests (personality, interest and intelligence). The traditional method is usually administered to adolescents wanting to know what career path to take after school. It takes an average of 2 hours to administer. The cost of the assessment is R2960.00. Once they have completed the assessment, a report will be compiled within 1-2 weeks and will be presented to you in your parental feedback consultation charged at R740.00. The total costing of the assessment is therefore, R3700.
2. Advanced career guidance is done for adults and adolescents.This method career guidance is focused on helping the individual find and identify their passion, their true value system, their life purpose as well as a one, five, ten and twenty year plan of reaching a life of meaning and purpose. This approach is based on the belief that every person is a genius and has a deep inner knowing of what they truly would love to do with their lives (in all areas of life). The quality of the questions helps the individual to discover their own genius and future, authentically to themselves. It usually takes 2 hours to administer. (charged at R2200.00) This is only done by Ilze van der Merwe-Alberts.

Please complete the Workshop registration form and send it to us with your proof of payment.
