Nikki Themistocleous

Nikki Themistocleous completed her Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of South Africa and is a registered Clinical Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa. Nikki is also a lecturer at the University of South Africa in the department of psychology.

Nikki’s interests lie with child, adult and family therapy where she works predominantly from an ecosystemic paradigm, however she incorporates other schools of thought where necessary. Nikki’s play therapy is guided by a child-centred approach where children are provided a safe space to explore their world. Nikki has also had extensive experience working with adults in various contexts, including Sterkfontein Psychiatric Hospital, community clinics and residential care facilities for individuals needing long term treatment.
