 Dalingcebo Christopher Mdluli
Chris Mdluli is qualified as a Clinical Neurophysiologist and has been in independent private practice from 1997 in Johannesburg and Vereeniging. Chris has a business management major, also holds an Honours degree in psychology, as well as a Master of Arts degree (Politics) with specific interest on public policy and mental health care, all from the University of the Johannesburg. He is currently finalising the MSc (Medicine), degree at the University of the Witwatersrand Medical School’s Brain Function Research Unit, with specific interest in Sleep medicine, pain and entrapment neuropathies. Chris is also a qualified and registered neurotherapist. Chris has conducted work-shops on sleep management for the Department of Community safety in Gauteng in 2005.
Services that he has offered since 1997 include, running an EEG practice, EMG and Nerve conduction studies practice, Evoked potentials, as well as a Sleep disorders centre, particularly for snoring and sleep apnea patients, which includes diagnosis and CPAP treatment for these patients. Neurotherapy will be added into the range of services he has offered over the years. Chris is also currently involved in the training of the Polysomnographic (PSG) assistants for a roll-out of Sleep disorders centres for sleep apnea , and CPAP treatment in major cities in Botswana and Zimbabwe. This rollout will later cover the larger parts of Sub-Saharan Africa where there is a need for such services.
Chris has also lectured at the University of the Witwatersrand, Faculty of Law and Management on issues related to Public Policy and Governance.
